First engineered by the notoriously eccentric Etherite, Lady Eliza, this rote has since been reverse-engineered by the Progenitors and adapted by some Verbena who understand the microscopic wilds.

Rather than generating a physical blast, the rote targets the ubiquitous, otherwise harmless Demodex mites inhabiting the target’s facial hair follicles. By broadcasting a localized hyper-evolutionary frequency (or administering a tailored vital catalyst), the mage forces these microscopic arachnids into a hyper-accelerated breeding cycle while fundamentally shifting their dietary instinct from dead skin cells to living tissue.

System: The target suffers a +2 difficulty penalty to visual Perception rolls and Social interactions due to inflamed eyelids, facial irritation and constant discomfort. Successes determine Duration.
